Most of the UAE's environmental is desert related, which heavily hinders their ability to grow crops. For many years, the UAE has been fighting sandstorms, desertification; caused by clearing of vegetation, over-grazing, and deforestation; and rise of soil salinity levels. All of these hinders the UAE's potential of growth in the farming industry.
